Poongar is a fragrant native rice variety prized for its light, fluffy texture, and flattened into poha it keeps that softness even after a short soak. It works especially well in a lemon poha or a lightly sweetened version with jaggery and coconut. No added sugar or preservatives, just traditionally milled Poongar rice pressed flat.
