Whole nutmeg seeds with a warm, slightly sweet aroma, best grated fresh rather than bought pre-ground since the flavour fades quickly once exposed to air. Used in small quantities in garam masala, rich gravies, and desserts, a little goes a long way. Sun-dried and cleaned with nothing added.
