Kaatuyanam is a hardy native rice variety once common across Tamil Nadu's rain-fed fields, and this poha is flattened from it while retaining much of the bran, giving it a firmer bite and deeper flavour than polished poha. It cooks quickly with just a soak or a light steam, making it a wholesome choice for a filling breakfast or a light dinner. No added sugar, no preservatives, just the traditional grain pressed flat.
