Horse gram, or kollu, is flattened into a dense, protein-rich poha unlike the usual rice or millet varieties, with a distinctly earthy, slightly nutty flavour. It is traditionally valued in Tamil kitchens for its warming quality and works well in a robust tempered breakfast or a rustic kollu rasam base. No added sugar or preservatives, just the pulse flattened the traditional way.
