Small, oil-rich cumin seeds with the warm, nutty aroma that gives South Indian cooking its base note. Cleaned and sun-dried the traditional way, they roast evenly and release their fragrance quickly in hot oil or on a dry pan. Use them in tempering, rasam powder, or grind fresh for a sharper, more aromatic seeragam podi than anything pre-ground.
