"Black Rice Cumin Porridge: **************************** Ingredients: Black Rice (கருப்புக்கவுனி அரிசி) Cumin Seeds (சீரகம்) Natural Sea Salt (இயற்கை கல் உப்பு) 1. Slightly coarse ground black rice in a mixer 2. Soak Rice for around 2 hours. For one cup of rice, add 7 cup of water in a pressure cooker. For open cooking, add 10cups of water (will take longer time). 3. Pressure cooking for about 15 minutes in medium flame along with a spoon of Cumin seeds. For open cooking cook till it is completely cooked. 4. Open the lid, add natural sea salt mildly and garnish with freshly grated Coriander leaves. 5. If you need spice, add Pepper powder additionally. BENEFITS: This is also called as 'forbidden rice' or 'The maharaja's rice'. This rice which is known to be originated from China/ Burma region, said to be forbidden to common people and only the King's family harvested for themselves.
