Homemade Raw Mango Pickle Pickles are deep rooted in our cooking tradition. It is a natural preservation for the seasonal fruits/ vegetables with spices. Most of our ancestral homes will have a large porcelain jaadis (jars) of Avakaa (mango) pickle that would arrive every summer or lemon/ Narthangai in two seasons. Some pickles have oil and some preserved with salt and some spices. Seeragam team has made this pickle homemade with naturally grown raw mango and Narthankai with wood press oil, natural sea salt and home grounded spices. This oorukai (pickle) is preserved naturally.
